13 Amazing Teacher Organization Tips: Absent Folder. "Place an absent folder on their desk and when students pass out papers for a lesson, they should make sure to put one in the absent folder. This makes it really easy to know what an absent student has missed. No more scrambling to gather materials from the recycle bin the next day."

I put an absent folder on my absent student's desk. Then, when that student returns the next day, they put their folder in their backpack. The instructions to the parents are on the folder.

Pocket folders bound together for my color-coded classroom. Every morning, place the papers you'll need for each class to have them at hand.
