Christmas Book Activities- Snowmen At Night

A great way to practice narrative writing. Read this book to the class. Brainstorm a list of all the things the snowmen did at night. Have students create their own activity. They write 3 paragraphs, developing the characters in the first, describing the snowman's activity and a problem faced in the second and solving the problem in the third. You can add an art element to this by having students design a snowman doing their nighttime activity.

Students view different photo each day and make 5 observations, 5 inferences, and 5 predictions. LOVE this idea!!

Give students a Top Secret envelope filled with problem/solution case files. If they solve the problems, they become members of The Problem Detectives Club!
