Love the view of a stone fireplace through the kitchen and the windows

Earth tones prevail in this open kitchen that looks as if it's been in place for centuries. Open shelving, naturally finished cabinets, and a pot rack over the center island provide abundant storage. Accessories personalize the space, and the tile backsplash over the stove makes the kitchen feel even more unique. (Photo: Photo: Gordon Beall; Designer: Barry Dixon)

Splendid oversized island with butcher block top and skylights above. The trim on the skylights complements the beautiful hardwood floor. Lovely traditional kitchen.

Wow - exposed wood beams + high ceiling + basically every detail of this kitchen = perfection!

beautiful design. the b & w tile compliments the space in such a fun and unique way LOVE HE ISLAND

Absolutely LOVE the layout of this kitchen, a little larger than I would personally want, but it is DEF a cooks kitchen!!

not sure about the brick behind the bar, maybe stone or a subway tile BUT love the chocolate wood, curved bar top and amazing ceiling!

I haven't seen Le Creuset in pink! so pretty! as are the vintage items!

This gets me to thinking... what if we closed off the back side of the staircase so the basement was U-shaped instead of having a stairway coming down the middle of it?

Stairwell photo. I love this idea, I need something to go there!
