Vanderbilt Mansion ~ Hyde Park ~ Hudson River Valley ~ New York ~ Frederick W. Vanderbilt had it built in 1898 in the Beaux-Arts style and used it as a "seasonal country residence". It was the first residence in Hyde Park to have electricity. The gorgeous Vanderbilt Mansion in owned by the National Park Service today and is open to the public.
