Love this idea. Much like an ant house, children can observe worms up close and personal. When we did this, we made a black sleeve out of construction paper to keep the worms' world nice and dark when we weren't observing them. We also added a couple layers of leaves and organic kitchen scraps. Remember to add moisture, keep them cool and when you are done with your study, return them to your gardens :)

I know it is mighty crafty, but I can connect to Pal Cezanne's still lifes! Great idea for Rosh Hashanah. Bring some apples, pears, pumpkins (fall crops) and have kids paint. I love my job!
