    I want to have an open relationships with my students and I want them to feel safe discussing any topics, including the more difficult ones like race, culture, religion, etc. I think this saying hanging in the class will foster that idea and is a good way to show your students you are a person always willing to learn and be there for them. This is part of creating a prosocial environment, as our text described in Chapter 4.

    LOVE! Self portrait hand prints - dewestudio lesson Have the students write about their year. What did they think __grade was going to be like, what was it really like? How have they grown? What new things about themselves did they learn? Fill the hands with patterns and the background with their writing.

    Using watercolor and straws students will blow paint around the head in their self portrait to imply a wild mind or just very crazy hair!
