About Food 1. Looking at my smoothie bowl breakfast: "What makes it so...green?" 2. Still watching me eat my smoothie bowl: "Enjoying your...mixture there?" 3. Makes dozens of silly…

Today we're whisked away by Yuri Hobart, the 26-year-old Berkeley, California, blogger behind Bookswept. The site has two parts — a blog, or "Notebook," where Yuri reflects on books interspersed with food posts and author interviews; and the main collection, in which she posts original photos paired with quotes from whatever she's currently reading. While both sections are thoughtful, it's the latter that grabbed my attention so long ago and has kept me coming back. It is through…

While the boys are away at summer camp this week I thought it would be a good time to show you their upstairs game room. We absolutely love having an upstairs game room for the boys and believe me, it gets a lot of use. If they're not in the pool or playing outside, this is where you'll find them along with a few of their buddies. This is where we watch movies as a family, practice music, read and play XBox. And every Friday night that coffee table is covered with Chinese food.   The…
