Blue Mosque in Greens watercolor painting by Carlin Blahnik. A historic monument in Istanbul. Known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior. I took artistic liberty with the mostly green colors. My goal in this painting is to highlight the many soft dome shapes. The bright white of the paper shows at the tops of the domes. Paint pigment was introduced wet on wet and allowed to mingle to create a wonderful variety of colors. http://www.carlinart.com/
