Gypsy Rose Lee, Gorgeous woman who was best known for her burlesque shows through the 1930's but a great actress and writer too. -drink name
Gypsy Rose Lee was a famous burlesque performer known far and wide for her stripteases. But she was also a dancer, actress, producer, author, and playwright whose 1957 memoir was made into the stage musical and film Gypsy. She also wrote a mystery novel called The G-String Murders and co-produced a musical revue called Star and Garter.
Many were at a loss to explain why Gypsy Rose Lee, of all the pretty girls losing clothing onstage, became such an attraction. As a 1942 Life magazine article in noted, “She shows less than Margie Hart, is less suggestive than Ann Corio, less ‘hot’ than Georgia Sothern. She scorns the use of either bumps or grinds, fundamental gyrations of a burlesque routine…her routine for years has been a slow strip which she accompanies with a smart patter song.”

Coco Chanel- Faux Pearls I really like the Chanel brand and it's fashion pieces because it's elegant and makes women look independent which is what the brand was always about -empowering women
Coco Chanel. The heart of classicality, Coco Chanel was the only fashion icon to make Time's "100 Most Important People of the Century" list. She, herself worth $168 million, left a legacy worth approximately $4.5 billion with Chanel No. 5.
One of the most innovative fashion designers Coco Chanel was instrumental in defining feminine style and dress during the 20th Century. Her ideas were revolutionary; in particular she often took traditionally male clothes and redesigned them for the benefit of women. Listed by TIME magazine as one of the top100 influential people of twentieth Century.
Happy International Women's Day, Coco Chanel is one of the women that inspire me! http://manonm.be/2012/03/powerful-women-on-international-womens-day/
Inspiring people. Changing lives. Coco Chanel is truly a legend, and a superb one at that. She will always be special.
Coco Chanel is an insperation for me. Her family grew up with no money, her mother died when she was five, and her father abanded her, so then she was placed in an orphange. Overall she came over the hardship of her childhood and became a very sucessful fashion designer. I added this because she inspired me to be a fashion designer.

Diana Vreeland- the woman was sio ineffable chic that Harpers Bazaar sough her out while she was as she would say- merely a housewife in Brearly. She had authority, wit and charm. I own the original issue in which this image was first seen Harper's Bazaar, 1936.
Diana Vreeland: "Elegance is innate. It has nothing to do with being well dressed. Elegance is refusal."
"A new dress doesn't get you anywhere; it's the life you're living in the dress, and the sort of life you had lived before, and what you will do in it later," Read more: Diana Vreeland Biography - Diana Vreeland Quotes and Bio - Harper's BAZAAR

Let's face it, if I only posted things that tickled me posts would be few and far between. So here is one on sidewalk etiquette that everyone under 35 seems to be oblivious to. There is no excuse for not knowing and practising this simple display of common courtesy. 1. The man walks on the outside of the pavement. Always. 2. When walking abreast while approaching other people, the man drops behind his companion......V/A The House of Beauty and Culture: May 2008
