    Traditional Hummus Serve with cucumber slices, tomatoe wedges, greek olives and pita bread. 1/4 cup serving = 4.75 grams protein GBS or Band : 4-6 weeks post op Ingredients: 3-5 cloves fresh garlic , crushed 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 2 cans 15 oz cooked garbanzo beans rinsed and drained 1/4 cup sesame tahini 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil 2 Tablespoons cold water 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teasponns fresh or ground cumin Place the garlic in a food processor or blender with the olive oile and process until the garlic is minced and like a paste. Add the beans, tahini, sesame oil, water , lemon juice, salt and cumin and blend again. Add one more tablespoon of olive oil slowly at the end and thin with cold water if you want a thinner consistency. Enjoy!
