Thanksgiving on Thursday by Mary Pope Osborne is about Jack and Annie who take the Magic Tree House back in time with the pilgrims. They get to see how things were a long time ago. One of the pilgrim girls teaches them how to make a turkey. This is a good book for children in 2nd and 3rd grade. There are some pictures throughout the book so it gives those young children just starting chapter books a chance to pause and look at the photos.
