Love this concept. I still use it to this day when I get a bit confused. Also, the numbers are inverse of themselves. 2x9= 18 9x9=81 Once you get to 45 and 54, you go backwards in reverse from there. I know, confusing, but it can help.

Math Coach's Corner: Addition and Multiplication Move 1. This is a game I first saw in the Nimble with Numbers series, but I wanted to prettify it and give it a Valentine's theme. I can't remember what they called it, but I call it Move 1, because you can only move one paper clip at a time. There are two versions--one for addition facts to 9 + 9 and another for multiplication facts to 9 x 9.

Here's a set of number organizers that show multiples of each number inside the number outline. These might be interesting pieces in student notebooks.
