when it was time for mom to pick you after a school event we stood in line at the only pay phone in our rural high school
Remember Pay Telephones
Pay phone. No cell phone. Time for mom to pick you & your friends up from the mall. This is where you called from. I remember my parents didn't have "Call Waiting," So you got a busy signal. Ugh!!!
On our kitchen wall when I was growing up in the 60's.
wow ugly! I think they still might make these....
Pay Phones - when these old ones were retired for a newer model, Aunt Wilma got one that hung in her hallway.
You used to have to use a can opener to punch two holes in the top of the can so you could pour it
pyrex butter dishes - we keep it out so the butter would be soft & easy to spread
Vintage telephone, from the 50s before that there was no curly cord. Just cord like on an iron.
My mom used this type of washer when I was a kid. I remember wringing out clothes through that wringer on top!
My first cell phone. Not only could you change the cover.. You could change the buttons too!! <3
I remember this type of pay phone, only back then local calls were 10 cents.
Rotary dial phone. This look just like the phone we had in the kitchen.
Flip up address book. The dial on the right moves to the letter you want. Press at the bottom and it opened. Mom had one for years.
Pay Phones. Remember when this was the only type phone you could use away from home?
