Collage Week- A good idea for the beginning of the year to get to know your students. You can hang them up on your bulletin board to display student work and show who your students are.

Fingerprint poetry is a great way to start a poetry unit or the beginning of the year. High school or middle school students can really express their individuality. Could blow up a photocopy of the child's finger print and use the lines as guides.

All about me craft.  "I am..." Awesome results.  The background was made from cutting colorful pictures from a magazine and then gluing them on.  She typed things that described herself and then cut them out and arranged them over the top.  LOVE this! Tutorial

I love this idea. You could use it to do the Names of God! Great watercolor study - have them practice different watercolor techniques, cut it out and arrange it, then cut words out of magazines

Have your student write a letter to their future self!  1: Written for them to read at the end of the school year. 2: Written for them to receive right before they graduate high school! They will be very thankful.

End of School May. Twist this and have your teachers write this for themselves. Edit the questions to reflect your goals for your school year! Fun first day activity: Have kids write a letter to themselves at the end of the year.
