I don't LOVE the rug. but I think the green curtain, built-in shelves filled with books and the (presumably) sliding ladder are wonderful. Its missing a fire place, lots of cozy blankets and an oriental rug!

This study by Ashley Goforth reminded me of what mine will look like – the shelves over the window and down the sides, the seagrass, the white slips.  Simple and clean.  I like the shutter doors too.

"Two-level library of a Mercer Island home designed by Kelly Wearstler." A small upstairs bedroom was sacrificed to make this, and the brass spiral staircase was custom-made. Probably any book-lover would love this.
