Another pinner says: Hot Vinegar and Dawn Soap! Seriously, I saw this on Pinterest and decided to try it on my white shower tile...WOW! 1 cup of HOT Vinegar (microwave 1-2 min) and 1 cup of blue DAWN liquid soap. Shake into bottle and creates a gel that is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

My neighbor's house always had the clearest windows EVER! One day I helped her with some spring-cleaning. She didn't use a single paper towel or commercial cleaner but mixed 2 cups hot water with ¼ cup vinegar & 1 TBS of cornstarch, shook in spray bottle & spritzed the windows, then wiped down w/ crumpled newspaper. My grandma taught me this many years ago. Refreshing towels I use this trick all the time since I noticed my towels smelling funky. It works! - Over time, towels build up detergent and fabric softener, leaving them unable to absorb as much water and smelly. Recharge them by washing them once with hot water and 1cup vinegar, then a 2nd time with hot water and half cup baking soda. This strips the residue and leaves them fresh and able to absorb more water again. Works like a charm!

Microwave the container for 40 seconds, or until the solution is boiling 4. Allow to rest until the water is luke-warm 5. Wash out your container and it is as good as new!

Homemade Dusting Spray

1 cup water 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar 2 tablespoons olive oil 10-15 drops essential oil of your choice

Mop hardwood floors with 1 gal. hot water. 1/2 cup vinegar, 2 Tablespoons baking soda, and a few drops of dish soap. Shiny floors, house smells grand. I also mopped my dingy linoleum tile floors in my kitchen this was better than any floor cleaner I have ever bought off the shelf!

Microwave Cleaner: 1 cup water + 1 cup vinegar in microwave safe dish, Microwave for 10 minutes to steam clean the gunk wipe out.

DIY Stainless Steel Cleaner ~ 2 cups of hot water mixed with 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 tbsp of baking soda.

Love this refill recipe! I took a small (1 lb) box of Baking Soda, 2 Tablespoons of Dawn Dish soap, 1/4 Cup of water, 1/2 cup of bleach and stirred it together until mixed well. It filled the bottle to the top, and works as well, if not better for about 1/4 the cost!

This long-forgotten gem of a cleaning agent may be used with a little water or vinegar to lift even the most stubborn stains. Unattractive grout driving you batty?
