Impatiens namchabarwensis "Blue Diamond Impatiens" To die for! This most tantalizing perennial Impatiens bears an abundance of bright ultramarine blue blooms. To 1.5” across & highlighted by a yellow throat, the flowers are displayed in abundance on a multi-branched 2’ x 2’ plant. The color seems to change with temperature & exposure – sometimes it’s REALLY TRULY BLUE & other times it’s a deep purple, but it’s always exquisite. Shade-Loving Annuals: Balsam. Balsam is an old-fashioned plant closely related to impatiens. Like its cousin, it blooms in a wide range of shades, though balsam plants tend to be taller and the flowers much more intricate than impatiens. It also self-seeds, so plant it once and you're likely to enjoy the beautiful blooms for years. (my newest addition)
