A simple way to organize your scraps is by cleaning up the shape of the piece (with a pair of small, sharp scissors like this) and then popping it into a glassine envelope. I taped the envelopes into a new journal so that I can reference the colorful bits for future paper craft projects. (from decor8)

Great for 12x12 paper! I have had this type of interlocking grid system for several years and also bought mine at target.was 10 years ago. It's easy to put a cube together and then use the other side pieces and make your shelves the size you want. Attach with small zip ties!

I got my two sets at Bed, Bath and Beyond some time ago. I never even thought to do away with those ANNOYING round clips and just use zip ties! I used one set, I will now re-do it without the clips and put the other one together so I have more paper storage. WOW! Thank you for sharing this!!! ♥

I did check with Bed, Bath and Beyond and they do still sell these grid systems.
