The dining table is surrounded by fur-covered Lucite chairs. Though they look absolutely chic, the chairs have a functional purpose. (It's easy to clean off little handprints from the clear surface.) Laura unabashedly admits, "In spite of having a kitchen and dining room I love, we get take-out or eat out almost every day."
This picture is the inspiration for my dining room. I adore the contrast of the dark wood table with the less imposing light colored upholstered french chairs. I found four side chairs at an antique mall with the same shape - one day I'll actually get them painted and reupholstered. My Duncan Phyfe dining table awaits their renewal.
