cut, router, & paint a large piece of wood, then adhere poster-sized print to wood. What about with a mirror? Or a similarly shaped outline over the poster to make it look like a giant picture frame? LOVE this.

If you go to this blog, it has a link where you can buy these unfinished frames for cheap. I want two big ones like the ones in this picture. I also want a variety of smaller ones. I want to paint them for the wall behind my couch! Great christmas gift for me! :)

I like the mix of wood, white, and whitewashed frames. I also like the mix of black/white and muted color photos... Not on a white wall though!

@Laurie Dyer - There's a b photo at the thrift store that I can't get out of my head. It's of a native woman and her daughter (Guatemalan?). The woman is looking away and the girl is facing the camera. It's gorgeous but it doesn't mean anything to me except that I like it. Do I bring it into my house or pass? What if I look it up and find out their story?

Old Vintage Window with child's photo at the beach! Love this idea Great idea

like the diagonal line this makes and with all the frames touching it feels like one giant piece of art

I think this would be fun with one of those tacky, old gold, frames that used to be so popular. I would under-paint it with hammered bronze spray paint first, then go over it with the turquoise (or another color) but not completely cover up the bronze. Then of course you would have to have a mirror cut to fit, but that is pretty inexpensive. Would be such a FUN project! LOVE IT!!
