Freeze green onions in water bottles - shake out the right amount and return to the freezer! This is great! You always have to buy so many green onions and recipes usually never call for more than 3 stalks. - what a good idea!

To freeze green onions or other fresh herbs use plastic drink bottles as handy dispensers. Put them into a clean old water bottle, use a permanent marker to label the bottle cap with the contents. Freeze. To use remove the cap, shake out just as much as you need, replace the cap and return to the freezer. The clear bottle allows you to quickly see what’s inside, and shaking things out of a bottle is quick and easy.
