We're going to do something very similar to this in between our raised beds to grow pea plants on this summer. It will be like a living tunnel for the kids to play in.

Make a basic wooden frame, staple chicken wire over it. Place the wire frame at an angle on attached legs. You then use as a cucumber trellis and plant lettuce underneath! The cucumber vines won't strangle out anything else and the lettuce grows better with partial shade!!

Cucumbers love the sun on this Trellis while lettuce love the shade it provides!! DIY!!

Grow The Best Organic Lettuce - diversity within the beds (plant w/herbs, garlic, onions, etc.), also plant with a trap crop (radishes) that pests will attack those leaves instead (bonus - you still get radishes!)
