The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly (1966) ($11.25) This is one of the best western movies ever made. - The DVD quality is good, and includes previously unreleased (in the US) scenes deleted from the original version of the film. - Sergio Leone's directing and photography and Ennio Morricone's music had gone from wonderful to magnificent.

Aksharadhool: Long forgotten musical tracks # 19 This was the theme or the title tune from one of the great western thrillers, “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,” starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach. This instrumental piece was composed by Ennio Morricone, with Bruno Nicolai conducting the orchestra. A cover version by Hugo Montenegro in 1968 was a pop hit in both the U.S. and the U.K. It has since been one of the most iconic scores in film history.

Great movie indeed.

There are very few people in history as important as Abraham Lincoln, and there have been very few films that have fully understood him. Steven Spielberg made the bold choice to make him not just high-pitched but human. He reminded us a hero is flawed, is human and he broke the law to do what was right but that's exactly what a hero really is, especially one as great as Abraham Lincoln.
