Viking Garb Class handout - great 28 page handout that gives documentation and history of all types of viking garb, includes information about seams, seam finishes, types of cloth, colors of cloth and how those colors were dyed, as well as patterns and instructions!
How to be a HOOD-lum: Medieval hoods - A Workshop & Notes by Cynthia Virtue aka Cynthia du Pré Argent. The second pattern is definitely a WINRAR for doing my hood. This author also has a great refresher on the ye olde costuming basics here: Introduction to Garb - A Seminar http://www.virtue.to/articles/in_depth_garb.html
Tutorial (Intermediate) - Viking coat pattern, remarkably similar in construction to the standard T-tunic pattern--just create a front opening. Very simple to construct, but flagged as intermediate just because it doesn't walk you through the construction step by step.
