Suit Pierre Cardin (French, born San Biagio di Callalta, Italy, 1922) Date: 1977 Culture: French Medium: cashmere, leather Dimensions: a) L. at center back: 40 in. (101.6 cm). b) L. at center back: 26 ¾ in. (68 cm).

Ossie Clark (British, 1942–1996) Date: ca. 1972 Culture: British Medium: synthetic. Ossie Clark is most known for his chiffon dresses of mixed prints, designed by his wife Celia Birtwell, but he was also an expert cutter and made exceptional tailored pieces. This suit is a testament to his skill, for the construction and cut allow for a perfect fit, creating a flattering silhouette. The plunging neckline is quite daring, but is a characteristic found in his fresh and innovative work.
