Gorgeous styled bookcase with white accents to add interest/contrast to dark shelves

this is well arrange, but just too quiet for me. If the inside backs were painted a Chinese red, all of the beigey objects would just pop! They would assume an importance they don't have now. Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray

These shelves are awesome, I love when the shelves disappear against the walls and only the color of the stuff ON the shelves is what really catches your eye. Seems to me its less "great shelves" and more "great stuff!"

.narrow shelving is a good way to have a gallery wall where you want to change out the photos or prints. No new holes made and plenty room for many prints. If you put a plate groove in the shelf, or add a small molding to hold the frames from sliding, then any vibration felt in the house won't have the frames falling or moving. You can make a larger area for large prints and a smaller area between two shelves for smaller frames.
