Since a young age, I have loved to read. Reading offers an escape from the real world and presents a world where anything can happen. Because of this love, I want a magnificent library in my dream house. Books have a special place in my heart; therefore, they should also have a unique place in my dream house. This dream library would offer a place of comfort and would give my imagination a chance to go all over the place. Thus, these books would receive a special place of honor.

one day i will have a room filled with books. and i like this bc of the colors and coziness (just not the rug)

For a house on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, Lea Ciavarra and Anne Marie Lubrano, of Lubrano Ciavarra Architects, utilized Bahamian colonial-era details and natural materials. The central gathering place is the soaring two-story library, a cube measuring 24 feet in all directions. As in most other portions of the house, the room is lined with dense, termite-resistant South American ipê wood.

I can only hope to have a library like this one day. For now I will just continue to hope.

Love the two-story library, all the marble above the fireplace. Love the leather wing back chairs. It's all over the top but stunning to look at.

Books on one side and a photo/art gallery on the other. This space is so oldschool. The black & white parlor floors, the antique rug, the dark woods, and the walls full of memories and good stories. Nostalgia everywhere.

I'm obsessed with chunky wood detail!! Music Room ~ detail on balcony railings, mouldings and fireplace

this is my idea of a GREAT room!

“This is why I will never own an E-Reader: because a row of books is more than a compendium of information. It’s a map of all the places your mind has been, a group of friends standing silently by to comfort you.” - The Executor by Jesse Kellerman
