Guided Reading Snapshot. This is a wonderful chart for teachers to use to assess students. It could be used at the beginning and the end of a unit to compare student's progress. While it would be time consuming to do individually with each student, it could be very beneficial to learn where students are at before choosing books for the school year.
This Guided Reading Binder Pack-Common Core Aligned is a perfect tool for teachers to organize, manage, and track students' reading behaviors.
Guided Reading Planner - Organizer for Small Reading Groups or Intervention
Reading group or intervention game! A fun idea would be to roll the die and begin a made-up story, each person that rolls tells the next part. 1. Roll all first. Write down your numbers. 2. Begin the story in numerical order. It does not matter how many play, just so there are 2, even if one is teacher or babysitter. Lots of fun in store! MamaPat
I love to use this during guided reading or with pairs of students. We use this before reading to review, during reading, and after reading. Please note that this is part of a characterization packet filled with activities you can use with any story or book. If you are interested, check out the packet in my store. Thanks!
