A Rajasthani Folk Singer with his Ravanhatta at the Akhyan festival in Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts. Ravanhatta is mostly used by Bhopas, who are religious nomadic folk musicians ~it's a primitive string fiddle with one metal and several other strings which may include horse hair and synthetic material. The bow has several bells attached to it and by giving a jerk to the bow, it also provides the rhythm for the lilting music. www.youtube.com/...
