I surprised myself with the Rozachakra design last year. I'm all for pink, and for ponchos, and when the linear stitch pattern came together, it was meant to be. The early spring weather means I can start wearing it soon.
Hey I'm Jennifer, and I'm an indie knitwear pattern designer, also known as #knittingvortex. I love designing with interesting techniques, whether it's shaping, stitches or materials. Sweaters and shawls are perennial faves, but I was recently on a stranded hats kick, so you never know!
When my daughter was home over break, we re-photographed some older pattern samples. This is Picabeau, in one of my fave yarns, Caper Sock from String Theory Hand Dyed Yarn. I've just uploaded the newly spruced up pdf to its Ravelry page.
I love black. It's the color I wear most, and the one I most often choose. Here's a nostalgic look at a ribbed shrug I made for myself six years ago; you cant really see anything about it (other than that it also has sparkle!) but I loved it.
I am NOT a #red person, but I'm definitely a purple one. When I saw this long gradient skein of Vampire Boyfriend on Lavish by knitcircus yarns, I knew it would be perfect for trying out the shawl construction of my Vamping design.

I just CO Allegro Shawl by @karihelenerane and it's going super quickly. It's still freezing at the beach and even more freezing at home, but this is going to be a cute layer when the weather is more cooperative.
