This simple project is made by soaking cloth doilies in sugar starch and then forming it around a balloon. One the starch dries, pop the balloon and you have a romantic tea light holder that can be used as part of your tablescape.

Using sugar starch, form doilies around a balloon. After it dries, pin prick balloon and remove and you have a doily bowl to hold tea lights. Would work great in different colours for a henna party!

I stole this... it is not my own... 1/2 ELMERS GLUE/HALF WATER ~ USE SMALL PAINT BRUSH TO PAINT THAT ON ANY OLD JARS OR GLASS CONTAINERS ~ THEN ROLL RIGHT AWAY ON EPSOM OR ROCK SALT. TADA!!!~~ WHEN THEY ARE DRY YOU NOW HAVE TEA LIGHT AND CANDLE HOLDERS. THESE ARE EASY AND JUST BEAUTIFUL WHEN YOU ARE DONE.

DIY lace lamp.

all you need to do is blow up some balloons, get white yarn, dip the yarn in a mixture of corn starch, water and elmers glue. dip the yarn in the mixture and wrap it around the balloon. let it sit and dry and then pop the balloon...voila :)

wrap thread around a balloon, spray with fabric stiffener, and pop the balloon.
