Mindset Moments: Showcasing Student Growth

Take time to reflect on student learning and create “Mindset Moments.” These small moments used to reflect on growing as a learner benefit not just those who share, but every student in your class.

Integrating my two favorite things, language arts and social studies: Designate a color/style of pushpin for each student. Every time a student reads about a specific place, landmark, etc., they record it with their pushpin on the map. Closer to the end of the year, have each student choose one of their favorite recorded locations and do a research project about said location.

Here's a site with different worksheets for students to have fun creating characters while graphing in all four quadrants!
