    Kari Jones Jozsa my mom is too moving into a new place and I'm trying to find some remedies for her! So far Apple cider vinegar seems to be winning. Put some bow;s of it around. also cut apples in half and anything citrus cut them up and place them in a bowl they are all absorbent and will take all the nastiness in! Also, I recommended to my mom to burn incense because it too permeates the wood so maybe do it with a scent you like.

    There is a product called OdoBan that will get smoke smell out of just about anything. I used it to get the smell of cigarette and cigar smoke out of my home and it has worked wonderfully. I was told that this product was used by disaster restoration companies to get rid of smoke smells as well as mold and mildew. Just be careful with pets and children; it is toxic if ingested!!
