Hypertufa Moss garden by David Spain, of Moss and Stone Gardens, Raleigh, North Carolina (Moss species include Atrichum undulatum, Campylopus introflexus, Ceratadon purpureus, Dicranum scoparium, Entodon seductrix, and Luecobryum glaucum. Fungus is Parmelia lichen, and the Fern is Asplenium platyneuron (Ebony Spleenwort). This planting is for medium to low light levels, in a dry environment.
Could we build a two tiered side table that has a moss garden covered by a larger lath table top? Would they grow? Would it be too strange looking?
