Guus 2014 Spring

Good evening everyone, Looks like many of you were enjoying warmer temps today. We were in the high 70s today, it was lovely. So how about tonight we do a little spring using this mood board and any of the colors within !!!!

You're so right about the tease. In England we say "don't cast a clout til May is out" (ie don't totally believe the cold has gone til June!)...

Oh hang on! I just googled that phrase - apparently it refers to the flowers of the May hawthorn bush, and is about not casting a clout til it flowers (usually late April). So there's a Monday Lesson for me!

Well, that's along the same lines somewhat.... in this part of the world, they say don't put anything outside that you don't want to kill with frost until after Mother's Day. Last year, I didn't put my plants out on the deck until the first of June. Then by mid-September, you better bring stuff back in. So in reality? About 3-1/2 months of safe temps!!

Being from Southern California where stuff can stay out year 'round? I am growing very weary of the Colorado winters. If my kids weren't here I think we'd be high tailing down Fiona and Belinda's way. I lived in the desert for eleven years, and I love it. I have a house in the high desert in California. Would probably go back there. Oh well... not going to leave Zayla anytime soon ♥

I think the phrase about frost and mothers day needs a bit more work in the bounce & rhyme department?! My friend is skiing in colorado at the moment, the sky looks amazing on the photos!
