I love making rag quilts. I've been wanting to do a T shirt quilt with vintage racing shirts of Dave's. With this tutorial, I can start one for Jake out of his little shirts and add to it as he grows. GENIUS! My mother has made one of these for my daddy, herself, my brother, my sister-in-law, my daughter and me. Ours have scraps from old flannel shirts and other saved fabrics mixed in with new flannels that she bought. She has also made one for each of my cousin's three little girls and for my best friend's new baby. They are precious! They are made of 'cutsey' baby flannels.
LOVING the idea of keeping one side of the quilt raw, and other normal... these fabrics are beautiful
T-Shirt Rag Quilt.. with things that are meaningful to my family... I'm going to do this with all of the oil company and vendor t-shirts that my Hubby gets that are just stacked in the closet...he takes a blanket to work when he stays in the trailer so this is perfect..and the vendors might see it as well. :)
