Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger (Holden Caulfield is an ancient child of 16. Through circumstances that tend to preclude adult, secondhand description, he leaves his prep school in Pennsylvania and goes underground in New York City for three days. He is too simple and complex for us to make any final comment about him or his story. Perhaps the safest thing we can say about Holden is that he was born in the world not just strongly attracted to beauty but, almost, hopelessly impaled on it.)

If Holden Caulfield was alive today, “The Catcher in the Rye” would’ve taken the form of a long and angsty Tumblr page. I’d write a longer commentary on this idea, but I just spent way too long photoshopping that book cover.

I couldn't have said it better myself. When does this time start?

Of Mice and Men - my favourite book. Worth a read. Or two. I can't read it but every once in a while because I WEEP every time. Even if I think about it too much, I'll cry.

Catcher In The Rye by one of my FAVES, J.D.SALINGER...who I've been told my writing style imitates..I'll certainly take that.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. Of course I have read this, anyone who went to high school in the U.S. has probably read this, but I'm eyeing the hardbound vintage-look edition.
