Been thinking about this old bathroom (Cottage Living/Heather Chadduck) all weekend. So glad I found a photo of it!

I love this. Now thinking of how I can find a fixture I could do something similar with. If I ever get my little office/artist studio one day would love to do something similar maybe with photos that inspire me, bits of old textiles, pieces of broken costume jewelry attatched or hanging down. Would be my inspiration chandelier instead of inspiration board :)

My dad was a long distance truck driver & was gone for weeks on end. My mom hung a map like this up with a push pin with yard on it marked for Delaware, oh and when he'd call and tell us where he was we'd take another pin with the yard attached and pin it there - that way my sister & I could always look at the map & see where daddy was and where we were!

{pinned for future classroom theme post @ www.CFClassroom.com I love pillows in the classroom. These would be great for a travel / transportation theme.

Map cushion covers - you could have a set of the places you've been, or where you plan to go. (made by My Bearded Pigeon, available on etsy)

I found something similar to this but I love this more and it's cheaper though I would get it in the blue maybe? I'm almost tempted to take out my credit card for it now! Why can't I feel this way about clothes

A LITTLE STILL LIFE: globetrotting with styling ideas is also small. Chest of drawers, sideboard or occasional furniture opens to the world with a school map, a globe and rice memories.

Use cool vintage frames to show off maps of special places you visit. I have a surfers treasure map of Florida in my sons room as a shout out to my home state and place we were married. Going to get an Ireland map for honeymoon.
