Taking a Trip Down Memory Lane #RememberThis
Solid Gold tv show - first appearing before music videos had become commonplace, this show featured the week's top hits in pop music. Guest performers would occasionally appear on the show to play their songs. But the show is most widely know for the infamous Solid Gold Dancers, a dozen or so dancers, in leotard-type outfits, who would perform interpretive renditions to the hit songs.

SolidGold - who didn't love the Solid Gold dancers?
Solid Gold. Had to watch on Saturday nights babysitting because we only had three channels!
I don't remember this, but apparently I wanted to be a Solid Gold Dancer when I grew up...
SOLID GOLD DANCERS - you know you wanted to be one!
SOLID GOLD DANCERS!!!....b♡
I wanted to be a "Solid Gold Dancer" when I was in middle school (even though we called in "junior high" back then).

SOLID GOLD dancers!!! LOVED THIS SHOW. Sunday's at 4:00. I would love to find an old episode to watch...
I don't think this should go under the "when I was cool.." category Haha
Remember these?! Fruit-flavored candy sugar in fruit-shaped bottles. I used to LOVE these!
Que bonito recuerdo!!! Eran deliciosos!
Loved those. Pro tip: do not add the powder to soda pop - instant volcano!
Ate these as a kid. Was one of my all time favorites along with many other dime store candies
Black Jack Gum - my favorite except it was very soft and I would go to sleep with it in my mouth and get it in my hair. >,
I once put my chewed chewing gum behind my ear (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-esque.) Wasn't long until I discovered it wasn't the best idea and I had my head in the sink with my Dad trying to detach it from my hair.
Hey, kids are born with the idea their thoughts are genius thoughts. Hahaha.......... Your poor Dad.
The comments are better than the picture:)
I literally threw up when I had this gum...
What? What?? You mean you weren't a member if the Black Jack gum club? I loved it. Tried to chew the whole package at times....... until my face and jaws ached.
Played with this and actually got quite creative when I was in grade school!
Where did you get it
Never missed a show. And the reason I used a belt in the legs of my leotards to make them more french cut WHEN I WAS 10. Disturbing now. But SO COOL then :)
I always wanted to be a Solid Gold Dancer when I grew up. : (
