Columbus Broad Street, Kirven’s Department Store, Kresse, Newberrys, The Kiddie Shoppe, Kyser Lillianthal, Woolworth's and Metcalf, were all still downtown when I was growing up. My brother Michael, and a lot of our friends got their first job at Metcalfs.

I worked on block down at Kirven's Dept Store in the sixties. They were in business in Columbus for over 100 years. I have searched for a photo of the downtown store and cannot find one. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
