Brighton's West Pier. Brighton, England. Brighton counts with two piers, the modern one: Brighton Marine & Palace Pier, from 1891. And the West Pier, from 1866 which was closed in 1975 and has slowly become the 'enigmatic' carcass above. If one approaches Brighton by car or coach through the west side of the coast the view of this dead pier is one of the first long-lasting impressions one gets from the city.
This tropical beach picture places the view on the sand with the surf rolling in gently. A lone starfish lies on the beach awaiting a beach comber to discover it. Neither the photographer nor the location of this beach is identified. But I want to be there NOW!~!!!
