"Mr. Whipple ,please don't squeeze the Charmin"
Don T Squeeze, 60 S, Childhood Memories, 1970 S, Charmin Commercial, Memory Lane, Vintage Ads, Toilet Paper, 80 S
Do you remember the character name of the man in this Charmin commercial and what he asked us not to do? If you know the answers, keep them to yourself and pin it!
Mr. Whipple --- he was SUCH a Perv. Holding heavily perfumed (so bad for women especially) toilet paper, w/dyed colors that were made illegal. He squeezed the Charmin like they were breasts. I loathed this icky character. Before Sex Harassment was even a word.
Mr. Whipple Note: my parents were mortified when this commercial aired! Talking about toilet paper on tv. My dad said next thing you know they'll be talking about feminine products!hahahah
Mr. Whipple, who always seemed to be found in the toilet paper aisle. Maybe his wife wouldn't let him squeeze anything....
Mr. George Whipple is a fictional supermarket manager featured in television commercials and print advertisements that ran in the United States and Canada from 1964 to 1985 for Charmin toilet paper. In unvarying repetition, Whipple scolds customers who "squeeze the Charmin," while hypocritically entertaining such actions himself when he thinks no one will notice. The character and catchphrase were created by John Chervokas.

Ash tray on stand. Very 70's. When I was a kid, I found an old rusted one in the woods and put it in the fort that I'd built. Ya know, to add some style and an air of hospitality.

This young man was 19 years old when this photo was taken. Born of an American mother and a British father descended from the famous duchess Georgiana of Devonshire, this man would distinguish himself as the Prime Minister of two monarchs, and by solidly putting himself in opposition of one of the greatest evils the world has ever seen. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Winston Churchill.
