The Farm House (c. 1693) is one of the most photographed farms in the North, as it was owned by Beatrix Potter in the 1930s & still retains most of her furnishings & original decor. Yew Tree Farm, York, England Lovely Yew Tree Farm in Coniston, Cumbria in NW England. This was one of Beatrix Potter's properties that she willed to the National Trust. It is still a working farm with a family that runs the farm living in the back. The front cottage seen here was a bed and breakfast up until last year--now a full holiday cottage rental. Much of the furnishings left by Miss Potter remain. This cottage was used in the film "Miss Potter" starring Renée Zellweger.
