Tippi Degré had quite the amazing childhood. Imagine growing up with wildlife photographers as parents, roaming the African landscape, and making friends with wild animals wherever you go. This was Tippi’s childhood. Since there were no children around, Tippi became friends with many of the incredible African animals, such as elephants, ostriches, crocodiles, a baby […]

Meet Tipi Degre, a French girl who has grown up with African Wildlife ~ this is her 5 ton elephant named "My Brother." Tipi says " I don't have friends here. Because I never see children. So the animals are friends."
✯ “I don’t have friends here. Because I never see children. So the animals are my friends”.- Tippi Degré - Born in 1990 to French wild life photographer parents, Alain Degré and Sylvie Robert, Tippi had the kind of childhood we only hear about in legends.

She was named after the actress Tippi Hedren, who kept fully-grown lions as loving house pets at her Hollywood home during the 1970s.✯
What an incredible life! The Young Girl Who's Best Friends with African Wildlife,: Born in Africa to French wildlife photographer parents, Tippi Degré had a most unusual childhood. The young girl grew up in the African desert and developed an uncommon bond with many untamed animals including a 28-year old African elephant named Abu.
Paws n Claws Pets Clinic's photo: The childhood of a French girl Tippi Degre sounds more like a newer version of Mowgli, rather than something real. The little girl saw nothing unusual about her company: “I don’t have friends here. Because I never see children. So the animals are my friends,” she once said.

Ibex - The Alpine ibex, (Capra ibex), is a species of wild goat that lives in the mountains of the European Alps. The horns grow throughout life, growing most rapidly during the second year of life, and thereafter by about 8 centimetres (3.1 in) a year, eventually slowing to half that rate once the animal reaches ten years of age. Alpine ibex have been reported to live for up to nineteen years in the wild.

An acrobatic animal known for breaching & slapping the water with its tail & pectorals, it is popular with whale watchers off Australia, New Zealand, South America, Canada, & the United States.
Humpback Whale Breaching--amazing shot! Photoshopped or not, whoever created this picture had talent!
Whales are such amazing an beautiful creatures. This picture shows their enormity in comparison to people! I love how the photo is so completely desaturated too. <3 Vivayne
Ok, the reason this makes me laugh is because people actually think it's a real picture. Think about it- 1. There is no way the water could be shallow enough for grass to be sticking up above the surface and then just a few yards away be deep enough for a whale to breech. 2. The body of water in the picture is clearly not the ocean. Look at how you can see the opposite shore. (lined with trees, not a beach, I might add) 3. The whale has no shadow.

An anaconda is a large, nonvenomous snake found in tropical South America. Although the name actually applies to a group of snakes, it is often used to refer only to one species in particular, the common or green anaconda.

A majestic stag. It is good to see horns on an animal as opposed to hanging on a wall! Especially clever is the way the antlers artfully merge into small branches and twigs
Male deer grow antlers seasonally. They usually shed their antlers after mating season. Each year they grow back larger. They are solid bone and require large quantities of minerals. In early spring they are covered in a vascular tissue called velvet, because the texture is similar to that of velvet. Beautiful #Baby Animals| http://cute-baby-animals-giovanna.blogspot.com

The Whale… If you read a recent front page story of the San Francisco Chronicle, you would find a humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth. She was helped by a fisherman--man's natural love for animals...
highfive a whale? ya that's on the bucket list.
this might be my favorite photo in the entire world. and the coolest thing i've ever read......The Whale… If you read a recent front page story of the San Francisco Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth. A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farallon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed them gently around as she was thanking them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives. The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth said her eyes were following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.

Marsel van Oosten: Taking photographs began as a way to escape from life in the fast lane. After a trip to Tanzania however, things started getting more serious. Close encounters with the animals of the Serengeti fueled my passion for wildlife photography, which soon became my specialty. Five years later, I took the plunge and swapped my established advertising career for the precarious life of a nature photographer, a move that demands unyielding devotion and commitment.
Back da eff up!! #lion #lioness #kingofthejungle #lionlovers #bigcats
As with most wildlife shots, there was quite a bit of luck involved to get this shot - after all, with wild animals you never know what's going to happen. Most wildlife photographers use long tele lenses to photograph potentially dangerous animals, and that is probably a wise thing to do. However, wide angle shots are often more dynamic, more in your face, so that's what I wanted to try in South Africa with lions. I used a radio controlled remote and shot from a handheld monopod, turned upside down, without getting out of the car. It's my secret (well, not anymore) technique to get low level perspective shots with wide angle lenses, while remaining flexible and without running the risk of getting eaten. This male lion did not appreciate the clicks coming from the grass very much, and decided to charge the D3. I guess he was more the Canon type... ©2010 Marsel van Oosten, All Rights Reserved.
