HH the Maharani Sahiba Indira Raje of Cooch Behar. She was betrothed at a young age to Madho Rao Scindia, the then Maharaja of Gwalior but later fell in love and married Jitendra, younger brother of the Maharaja of Cooch Behar in London. (Interestingly, Indira's eldest daughter, Ila, married the Maharaja of Tripura. Their son is father of Bollywood stars Riya Sen and Raima Sen). She died in Bombay in 1968

HH Maharani Gayatri Devi, Rajmata of Jaipur. She was daughter of Prince Jitendra Narayan and Indira Devi of Cooch behar. She was celebrated for her classical beauty was counted in 'The Ten Most Beautiful Women of the World' along with actress Leela Naidu by Vogue Magazine. She ran for Parliament in 1962 and won the constituency in the world's largest landslide victory. She died on 29 July 2009 in Jaipur
