White tulle with appliqued RED velvet trim and oversized bows, fitted cap sleeve bodice and voluminous layered skirt, interior corset and stiff under-skirt. Labeled. Ann Cole Lowe was the first successful African American fashion designer, creating Jackie Kennedy's wedding gown in 1953. B-32, W-26, L-60. Her one-of-a-kind designs were a favorite among high society matrons from the 1920s to the 1960s. In 1953, she designed the wedding dress worn by Jacqueline Bouvier when she married Senator John F.
