The Aga Khan III with his 1930 Derby winner Blenheim. Bred by Henry Herbert--sixth Earl of Carnarvon--at his Highclere stud, Blenheim was a son of Blandford out of Malva. He sired Derby winner Mahmoud and Mumtaz Begum (dam of Nasrullah), and after being syndicated and exported to Claiborne in Kentucky, he sired 1941 Triple Crown winner Whirlaway, and 1947 Kentucky Derby winner Jet Pilot, as well as the dams of Kentucky Derby winners Kauai King, Ponder and Hill Gail. He is buried at Claiborne.

Unremarkable on the track and retired to stud in 1996, he is the Leading Sire in North American Earnings for 2003-2006. Leading sire in Maryland and outside Kentucky in 2010. Grandson of the champion filly, Numbered Account. He's the maternal great-grandsire of California Chrome.
SUNDAY SILENCE (USA) Br/blk c 1986. Halo - Wishing Well. Winner of the 1989 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes along with seven other races and 5 placings from 14 starts. A successful sire in Japan, he died of heart failure in August 2002 due to the effects of prolonged laminitis.

Known for being temperamental, and when racing, lazy and unpredictable, he proved his worth considerably more at stud than on the track. Leading UK sire in 1951, he was a five-time leading US sire, among his get, Bold Ruler, Nashua, Noor, Bald Eagle, Jaipur and Nasram. His desecendants include Mill Reef and Secretariat. He died in May 1959 and is buried at Claiborne Stud in Kentucky, USA.
