Love the idea of planters for base of front porch railing. Do this for herbs and do flowers above and in planters around front porch=nice fragrant front sitting area+easy access to outdoor herb garden rather than side yard for herbs.

Garden LINK IS TO A PIC ONLY IDEA SITE AND I COULD NOT FIND THIS, MUST BE IN ARCHIVES. A GOOD LOOK WILL SHOW HOW ONE COULD MAKE SOMETHING QUITE SIMILAR WITH NYLON ROPE AND GUTTER SECTIONS PAINED..THESE MIGHT BE TERRACOTTA... THAT WOULD NE A HEAVY LOAD

Got Herbs? Try this out in a Hanging Pocket Shoe Rack -This is perfect if you just have a small outdoor space. Just poke a few holes on the bottom of each pouch and fill with good soil, then a small rooted herb plant. If you water from the top, it trickles down to the lower 'pocket', like a waterfall, so don't over water!
