    Calming Glitter Glue Jar-The idea is you shake it up and watch the glitter fall. This gives the child time to breathe and be away from the situation that upset them. When the glitter settles the child can join the class again or chose to use an additional strategy.

    Calm Down Bins -- We have a Sensory Box filled with various fidget toys for Johnny. Using one or two of these in addition to other calming distractions (like the glitter jar) can make for a much easier time when trying to reign in emotions.

    Wish my kindergarten teacher had this, would have saved me from being teased so much since I thought telling on someone even if they were picking on me was tattling, which would mean I'd have to wear a raccoon tail clipped to my pants the rest of the day if I tattled.

    Vocabulary notebook - Cannot tell you how much I love this idea!! Really like the Root word, prefix and suffix portion.
