Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, Savannah GA Constructed between 1818 and 1821 for Mayor James Moore Wayne, the house was purchased by the Gordon family in 1831. On October 31, 1860, Juliette Gordon was born here and in 1886, she married William Low and moved to England. There she met Sir Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts, who introduced her to the Girl Guides. On March 12, 1912, Low founded the American Girl Guides in Savannah which by 1913 became the Girl Scouts.
